Take all the people out there and rank them from dumbest to smartest...now guess what the IQ of the middle person is...is it closer to:

The answer is a)! Surprised? Actually, the number is 100, and that's because 100 is *defined* as the average IQ. All IQ tests are normed so that people score a bell-curve distribution on them, with 100 as the average.
So remember, this is not Lake Wobegon, where all the children are above average.
PS, nearly everyone gets this wrong, for some reason. It doesn't reflect badly on you if you do, too!
